I found these books very entertaining and hard to put down. The theme is of a futuristic earth where everyone automatically has full body plastic surgery to make each of them “perfect” when they turn 16. It definitely speaks to our own real aspirations toward physical perfection. Would the world really be a better place if everyone was perfect or would everyone lose their identity and just be another pretty face in a crowd of pretty faces?

The books stay true to their names, giving the reader a look at the worlds of each social group as they follow a few characters through their transitions. I think they are appropriate for all ages and all of us who may be struggling with our imperfections might find the books give us a new and interesting point of view.
